DIGITAL ARTWORK SPECIFICATIONS:
Artwork may be supplied on a Macintosh or PC formatted disk using the specifications
listed below:
a) Files should be EPS or AI
with Adobe Illustrator version 7 to CS compatibility, or CDR with CorelDRAW
version 7 to 11 compatibility.
b) No BMP, DOC, GIF, JPG, PDF,
PSD, TIF, files please. These image files when placed into Illustrator EPS
or CorelDraw CDR are NOT acceptable.
c) Files must be in vector, which means the
artwork is originally created in EPS or CDR format, and it can be modified
in any way.
d) Fonts/text in EPS or CDR files must be converted
to outlines or curves.
e) Use appropriate file extension (i.e. file_name.eps,
file_name.cdr).
f) Larger files may be compressed in Stuffit
(Macintosh) or ZIP (PC).
g) Halftone artwork is acceptable only if confirmed
with our Graphic Department in advance.
h) Files can be e-mailed to us, attention to
Graphic Department. We suggest to use the P.O. number for the file name.
CAMERA-READY
ARTWORK:
All orders requiring artwork should include “camera-ready” black
and white artwork along with the order. Camera-ready artwork is defined
as either:
a) Black and white line art (i.e. graphics and
text) that is sharp in detail and not folded, wrinkled, or damaged in any
way. Artwork should be on glossy photographic paper (velox) rather than
printed on matte or textured paper stock.
b) Color-separated art with one piece of art
(positive film preferred) per colour, including registration marks.
c) Please note that printed letterhead, business
card, fax etc. are NOT camera-ready art work. Laser printout or hard copy
should be 1200 dpi or more for small print.
NOTE:
Artwork charge for non-camera-ready or non-vector artwork will be assessed
according to time consuming and difficulty to re-do the artwork. Charge
is $60.00 (g) per hour; we will notify you in advance if any artwork charge
is applied. Final artwork will be kept on file and can be forwarded to client
upon request. |
